The DPM Recoil Reduction System operates through a multi-spring intricate rod (three springs) that acts like a brake on the slide, particularly in the last 6 to 8 millimeters of movement before it stops on the frame.
In some cases, the DPM Recoil System offers almost double the force in the slide's full open position compared to the factory OEM spring. This results in the slide of the pistol touching the frame gently, thereby reducing recoil.
Additionally, the moving parts of the pistol are protected, extending the pistol's lifespan.
Included with the system are three separate springs and one Spring Plug. These external springs vary in length and power, allowing the shooter to fine-tune the pistol's opening and locking positions (slide on the battery) according to personal preferences. The longer spring, with more coils, is stronger and has a heavier pound rating than the shorter springs.
Overall Advantages
System of Multiple Springs
The system includes three or more springs of different sizes for specific compression, housed in a metal tube. Its mission is to control the backward motion of the slide at the moment of bullet firing. The initial pressure exerted by the system is almost the same as the standard factory springs. However, in the final phase of the system's coiling, the pressure difference exerted on the slide is 80% - 100% more. Consequently, the slide never rams against the frame, eliminating jams.
Materials
All metal elements are made of stainless steel W.-Nr./Grade 1.4301 (AISI 304) in a factory compliant with ISO9000 standards.
All springs are made of steel or high carbon steel with a cadmium (Cd) finish. The cadmium finish, which adds considerable cost to the manufacturing process, makes the spring impervious to the elements, including salt water.
